Events

Wine is meant to be enjoyed! Whether it be at home, at a restaurant or any other occasion, wine will often finds itself a conduit for special occasions, every so often it may even find itself the star.  This page is dedicated to wine events that will give you the chance to taste, sip and enjoy some of our wines.  Some of these we will have organised by us, others have been put together by our extremely valued customers. Those who without their support, we would not be able to do what we do best.

If you would like us to organise a wine event for you, please feel free to get in contact with us at bureau@douglaslambwines.com.au

NSW- Symphonic Greece [Greek Festival Event]

    4:30pm

    Great Hall, Sydney University

This excellent event has been organised by the Greek Festival of Sydney and we're very pleased to involved in it with our good friends at the AAIA

George Doukas, George Ellis and the Ryde Hunters Hill Symphony Orchestra.

Much-loved works by famous composers from the golden years of the twentieth century in a new way. George Doukas will provide his personal interpretation of the songs, and the songs of his traditional Greek ensemble will be given an extra dimension by the rich tonal variety of the symphony orchestra.

Proudly sponsored by Kir Yianni and their Akakies Brut, Xinomavro Rose

VIC: Greek Wine Dinner @ Neighbourhood Wine

    7:00 pm - 11:00 pm

    Neighbourhood Wine
1 Reid St, North Fitzroy, Victoria Australia

$120 per person - Limited seats avaialable

We're teaming up with Phil from Melbourne retailer The Wine Depository & Neighbourhood Wine to present some special wines from Gaia Wines & Kir Yianni Estate.

This is what Phil had to say on The Wine Depository Web-site:

"Over the past three years of The Wine Depository we’ve had some pretty amazing journeys into wine lands known and unknown. All in the name of drinking great wine, none of it was fun… Even the beautiful food we ate… Or the good company…

On the 12th June you need to join me so you can meet two of the greatest Greek wine producers. Leon Karatsalos – Agronomist & Co-Owner of Gaia Wines and Lambros Papadimitriou – Sales & Marketing Director at Kir Yianni are responsible for some of the best wines to come from Greece. Over a four course dinner at Neighbourhood Wine you will  have a trio of whites from the amazing Assyrtiko grape. Then you get to enjoy three vintages of two of the best wines in Greece. Neighbourhood Wine has specially crafted a menu for you to match with the wines you will look at...."
